Dark Shadows (Original)
Bad special effects be damned… Not only was the ABC soap-opera Dark Shadows enormously popular, it was downright beloved. However, it did not become enormously popular until a year into its run, when the vampire Barnabas Collins (played by Jonathan Frid) finally shows up. The plots were cheesy, the sets were cheesy, the effects were even more cheesy (heck, it was broadcast in black and white for its first season)… but everyone loved it – amazingly, especially teenagers of the day. It ran for eleven season, from 1966 to 1971, for a total of 1,225 weekday episodes. We have the entire last two seasons for you below.
