This Girl is getting some serious love from Minnie-SO-Tah! CONK News’ Jim Peters asked me to be on his site once again, this time for “The Rearden Report.” A program that is still politically-focused, but trends toward the business and entrepreneurial bent.
“Hank Rearden” read my article on RedState:
Rearden wanted me to discuss AB5, The PRO Act, and how the new U.S. Department of Labor rule’s intention is to destroy both independent professionals and businesses.
And he gave me 30 minutes! Folks, in our 2-second sound bite culture, that’s an eternity. I hope I used the time judiciously, and I hope you enjoy!
P.S. Here’s the full Helen Keller quote we ended with:
“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.” ― Helen Keller, The Open Door
The Girl was out on a school night (trust me, at 56 this is no small feat), hanging out with the “yoots” and plugging my and Benjamen Janey’s book, The Making of An American Hip-Hop Tycoon.
Ben is one of the Accelerator Program Founders with Plug In South L.A, an enterprise that builds the next generation of people of color in tech innovation. At the organization’s Urban Tech Connect 22 we had a chance to talk a bit about our book and give one away as a raffle prize!

Finally, some shameless self-promotion of my series over at RedState, “All Politics is Local”. This election is unprecedented. We rarely see such an uprising of grassroots and parent-focused candidates that can well turn the tide from blue to red. Grassroots candidates are so close, so, bringing awareness and support to their camps can only help to further the goals to flip school boards and entrenched electeds.
If you have not read and shared these with friends, Romans, countrymen, please take the time!
