My last mission: restoring the republic

Since the 1970s I have written countless letters to the editor, op-eds, and online essays on numerous websites.  For the past 18 months I have appeared on scores of radio talk shows, cable TV programs and podcasts promoting the four books I wrote since I retired on July 1, 2020.  Three can be accessed here, including my 2019 book on the Fed.  My free market Universal Medical Care book is available on this page.

The other day I launched my last mission when I appeared on the Michael Harrison podcast.  See 

Michael is the publisher of, the Bible of talk radio, and TALKERS Books, which published my autobiography, From Immigrant to Public Intellectual: An American Story. 

Since my first two post retirement books were published in the Fall 2021, I have had ads in TALKERS to promote my books and the libertarian vison for America. The latest ad was just posted.

I am writing this to “enlist” you in my last mission to restore the republic.  If you cherish, liberty, free enterprise, and peace, you can do several “easy” things to help take America back from the leftists that control virtually all our institutions—the media, public schools, higher education, corporate America, and the list goes on and on. 

1.    Send the link to the latest TALKERS ad to your local radio talk show hosts, cable news stations and newspaper op-ed editors.

2.    Send this column to your contacts—family members, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

3.    Purchase as many copies of From Immigrant to Public Intellectual to hand out to your network.  The publisher priced the Kindle and the paperback editions so libertarians, constitutionalists and others could purchase multiple copies to spread the libertarian message.

4.    We can restore the republic by presenting better ideas to the public than what they have been “fed” by the mainstream media and the educational establishment.

On the back cover, Judge Andrew Napolitano writes:

I could not have asked for a better endorsement of my story that I hope is an inspiration to young Americans.  It is about perseverance, persistence, a positive mental outlook sprinkled in with a little bit of luck.

As the men who gathered in Philadelphia to hammer out the Declaration of Independence to create a free America, they concluded with these stirring words:

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

Our time is now.
