We start the day by talking to Ruth Edmonds, who is running in the GOP primary to represent Ohio’s 15th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Edmonds is a stalwart Christian and conservative, and crucially, she plans to actually fight for those ideals in the halls of Congress. Then, we move to a fun topic to close out the week: conspiracy theories. Weirdly, the “Flat Earth” theory is somehow gaining traction in some Christian circles, despite not really being supported by Scripture, let alone basic science. We talk about some other strange theories that listeners brought to our attention, like where missing socks really go or what’s really going on with Joe Biden. Someone even had a theory about Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, which leads to a discussion on her seemingly abrupt withdrawal from the competition.
