Las Vegas, NV — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating a homicide that occurred near the Las Vegas Strip late this afternoon.
The incident was reported at approximately 4:46 p.m. at a business near the 3700 block of Paradise Road. Responding officers discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Sunrise Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the victim was inside the business when two suspects entered. After a verbal exchange, one of the suspects produced a firearm and shot the man before both fled the scene.
The suspects are described as Black male adults. One was wearing a black shirt or hoodie paired with a black ball cap, while the other was seen in a green shirt-like hoodie and green ball cap.
Authorities believe the shooting was not a random act and assured the public that there is no immediate threat to the community.
This tragic event comes just hours after another fatal shooting linked to a road rage incident occurred about a mile away near the Palazzo, highlighting a troubling day for the area.
Police are urging anyone with information about either incident to come forward as investigations continue.
