Trey is joined by Senator Peter Welch (D-VT) for a conversation about the importance of coming together with the opposing party in order to make the country a better place.

Senator Welch shares how growing up along with the Civil Rights movement inspired him to pursue a career in law, and later politics so that he could create opportunities for people to live their best lives. Senator Welch then shares lessons he learned from both winning and losing political races. Later, he discusses how working in the Senate has allowed him to cultivate meaningful relationships with his Republican colleagues in order to pass constructive legislation.
