Trump in Reno: ‘We Don’t Need Four More Years of Gross Incompetence, Radicalism, and Failure’

“We don’t need four more years of gross incompetence, radicalism and failure,” former President Donald Trump announced to an estimated crowd of 10,000 at the Grand Sierra Resort on Friday evening. Many in the crowd waited in line for hours to rally for the president’s second return to Washoe County, a swing county that Vice President Kamala Harris has yet to visit. President Trump’s last rally in Reno was in December.

President Trump spoke for approximately 75 minutes “weaving” his address to hammer on inflation, illegal immigration, and the “woke” ideology plaguing women’s sports, education, and the U.S. military. “We can talk about inflation and it’s horrible, but still the most important issue is the border,” he said.

Fresh off a campaign stop in Aurora, CO, a Denver suburb that has made the news due the growing violence and presence of Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, Trump promised to “round up the illegal alien gang members until not a single one is left,” and called for the “death penalty for any migrant that kills an American,” to the cheers of his supporters. He stressed that the U.S. is an “occupied country” and promised to liberate America on Election Day.” “I make this vow to you: Nov. 5, 2024, will be liberation day in America. Liberation day.”

Trump reintroduced his “no tax on tips” pledge and highlighted that his policies would also include eliminating taxes on overtime pay. “My message to every service worker in Las Vegas and Reno is this: If you vote for me, inflation will end,” Trump vowed. “Your taxes will be cut massively, your wages will skyrocket, your savings and pensions will soar, and your retirement will be more prosperous.”

“Everyone will prosper,” Trump said. “Every family will thrive and every day will be filled with opportunity and hope. We are going to bring back the American dream.”

“If you vote for me, inflation will end. Your taxes will be cut massively. Your wages will skyrocket. Your savings and pensions will soar. Your retirement will be more prosperous,” Trump vowed.

“We will quickly become energy independent, as we were before, and make America the dominant energy producer in the world by far,” he said. “We will frack, frack, frack and drill baby drill.” Trump maintains that he will bring down household costs by 50 percent through reducing the cost of energy by becoming energy independent. In 2019, Harris pledged to ban fracking, but has since flip-flopped on that position since she launched her second campaign for president.

Trump’s economic message and his promise to protect women’s sports resonated with a family from Fernley, Nevada. The father of five young girls told The Globe, “Things have gotten a lot worse for us under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. We have been struggling and having to borrow money from our parents. I voted for Obama and was always a Democrat until I started doing my own research and realized that the news media was painting Trump to be a racist, which is simply not true.”

The father also revealed that he had moved his family from California after the schools began introducing transgender curriculum into his daughters’ classrooms. “We had to leave California and find a red place to live in order to protect and raise our kids,” the father said. As the Star Spangled Banner began to play, they all stood with their hand over their hearts and sang, ending with cheers to welcome the former President.

Throughout his speech, Trump took many swipes at Harris, referring to her “respectfully” as “not a very smart person,” and an “an incompetent Communist.”

“I will put American taxpayers first, American workers first, and American communities first,” Trump concluded. “And we will put communists and Marxists and fascists last.”
